Do yall honestly think JR is going to give up of maybe winning a national championship next year? All of our "hard" games will be at home next year... we played a tough road schedual this year and lost 2 of 4 really hard games... Although I want to see what Flynn can do and RP as well... I think he'll come back.
According to Mike Detillier, JR will be no lower than the second QB taken in the draft. And he says that He may very well surpass Quinn when he gets to show off at the combine and pro days. Also said he has him ranked as the number 18 player regardless of position in CFB. The surprise for LSU fans though will probably be Dorsey. He is gone also if everything I am hearing is true. Along with MD, I have heard 3 other scouts refer to him as the best DT in CFB and a top 10 pick. MD even said if he comes out he will go higher than Landry and JR.
Totally agree. I hope he stays though, especially cuz we lose DB and BD on offense. The WR and secondary will be our 2 biggest ? next season.
I think from here on out QBs will note what happened to Lienart by staying in school for his last year. The only problem I see is that off hand I can not think of any teams that really need 1st or 2nd round quarterbacks. Tampa Bay, Miami, and St Louis come to mind but thats about it. I hope that whatever he does he is successful, and while I have always questioned his ability to grow as player, he seems like a very good person. I wish all the best for him.
How about Oakland, Cleveland, NY Jets, Baltimore, and Minnesota? OAkland is screwed at QB Frye is a backup starting in Cleveland The Jets were forced to start Pennington because the other two sucked worse than he did McNair is old, and needs a protege, This is where JR fits best. And Minnesota's Brad Johnson is older than McNair, well maybe not, but he's up there.
Oakland has more problems then just QB and AL Davis aint gonna draft one. Cleveland yes, but I wouldnt want to see any LSU player end up there. Frye hasnt been doing that bad either. I think Magaine (sp) is happy with Pennington as long as he can stay healthy. Baltimore does need a back up for McNair, but I see them signing Chris Simms once Tampa Bay releases him. And no way in hell does Minn draft a QB this year. So add Cleveland to mine. MAYBE just maybe Baltimore but I dont see it given their recent history with QBs
i have a very close inside source with JR from work, and JR is at the moment working on a plan for an insurance policy. If he gets the lump sum he wants, he stays, if not, he goes... simple as that.
Hope he goes out of state for that policy insurance people in Louisiana are about as crooked as they come.
we have heard your "inside source" routine before. we have also heard your retirement from the board speech.
