If Powe keeps his commitment to LSU, congrats you got a good one. No sour grapes here, we really wanted him. But just last night he confimed his commitment to Auburn and said he would announce it during the game today. So hold your breath until signing day because he could change again. Regardless, it is well known he will have to go to JUCO so he is two years away from helping anybody.
Hmmm now that this Powe situation happened, I feel better about our chances of getting Granger. I am up in the air about Perriloux, I don't even think he will know where he is going until the morning of Feb. 2nd.
I would not be surprised if T-ville pulled this one out of his rear end. He knows we can only sign 16-18 on Bash Day. He figures we sign this guy, squeezing out a real recruit, then Powe swaps back to AU in 23 months. I know I shouldn't be a pessimist and I hope this guy is a real Tiger but this smells fishy.
I just figured out why Powe changed his mind to come to LSU... He wants to win a championship. He knows that Auburn isn't the place for that cause even going undefeated doesn't garner one at Auburn. :hihi: :crystal:
Nice conspiracy theory, what if Tubby told him to commit to LSU, we would therefore only sign 15 or so recruits, then in two years Powe goes with Burners... although its out there, I don't put anything past TUbby.
I'm sorry, but I don't know any coach that would tell a recruit to commit to a different school... It's not like they are sitting in a dark room smoking cigars and laughing at us...
I missed most of the game, but did Powe hold a little conference on the sidelines to declare like other players did?
