If not, maybe they can coax Hawthorne out of retirement.

Yes to replace cb is my hope. But jh was getting pretty ornery esp during baseball games which lasted longer than 10 minutes.

No doubt. And they'll need to get him a telescope too, so he can tell the difference between between the Jack Hunts and Devery Hendersons of the world.

Hawthorne was the worst. He never gave down and distance situation often enough. He never gave the score often enough. If you weren't watching TV at the same time, you were lost.

Listening on the radio is like a blind man going to the game and he's paying you to update him as you describe the game. But the blind man has to go to the bathroom every few minutes and he comes back and you refuse to tell him who has the ball, what the score is, where the ball is, how much time left, etc.

I always thought Tulane had a better broadcaster...that's bad.

I have never listened to a Tulane broadcast. Hawthorne had his moments but at least he was a homer.
@tirk seems to hate Chris Blair. I don't mind him. He may not be a real Tiger fan but he has a very professional voice and usually gets things right. I have listened to a couple of basketball games this season while driving and I like John Brady as an analyst.

Blair doesn't sound like he's bought in to to LSU yet. No enthusiasm in his delivery.

They changed the pre-produced vo's at the same time Blair came in. Every time that guy tells me I'm listening to the "L-ESH-YOOOOOOO" sports network I want to punch the radio. So annoying.

It's simply he's not a sports fan period. He's into music however. He can't do both like us.

Jim Hawthorne was hosting a country music radio show after he retires as VOTT.

Or when he does show enthusiasm, it's not genuine. It's contrived.
