Yeah, those years of lost recruits, reduced roster limits due to probation and coaches who sucked have started coming to an end. You're old enough to remember your Curley Hallman years aren't you?
I remember them well, but I thought we were discussing recent history and the trend leading into the future. I am very very aware that Bama has owned past history but I'm much much more concerned with who ownes the future.
With a rich history I can't help but believe our future looks bright. Recruiting is better, facilities are better and coaching staff is better. We may not be world beaters for another year or two but I believe we have started to come full circle and back into contention very soon.
I too think the future looks brighter for Bama, but I'm not buying the overnight world beaters with slick nick like some gumps are. Bama is a long way from the top of the mountain and there aren't too many short cuts.
I moderate a fairly large Alabama site and see very few gumps expecting overnight success. The real optimistic ones see 10 wins but most think 8 this season. As for us being a long way from the top of the mountain I don't think that mountain is that hard to climb.
I see 7-8 games as well. I will go with 7 on the record. However, I see a majority of the Bama fans being very dissappointed with 7 wins this year.
Are you saying the SEC West will not be tough to win or are you saying the SEC as a whole isn't very formidable? Wow, just Wow........
