I don't know why you are so miffed about it Alabama has the same number of 10 win seasons as Auburn this century even while on probation. This was our third full recruiting class since probation are you frightened we might be back on a level playing field with Auburn in another year? Alabama has been to twice as many SEC Championship games as Auburn and the only reason we didn't go in 2002 is because of probation. Yeah, that mountain doesn't look all that lofty to me.

Pretty soon you won't be able to count the consecutive number of times you've lost to Auburn on one hand. I'd probably save all that info and bring it up when you win the head to head.

You were on probation for a reason and did that play a part in so many 10 win seasons? You talk about twice as many SEC Championships played in and compare 10 win seasons then talk about level playing field and probation. Let's see how many SEC Championships and 10 win seasons Bama has on a real level playing field not one that leads to probation.

Man, you have a bad case of little brother syndrome.

    What they said.

Let's see how easy this mountain is to climb:

    1992
    Alabama 28, Florida 21
    1993
    Florida 28, Alabama 23
    1994

    2006
    Florida 38, Arkansas 28

You received sanctions dating back to 93, so I am so sure you were perfectly clean when you won your title in 92. You won again in 99 while in the middle of yet another run toward the NCAA court. Considering that, all of your accomplishments since 93 are tainted. Level playing field, surely you jest. You have tried to tilt the field for the last 15 years, and even then you weren't climbing that mountain with any consistency. During that huge run of close but no cigar, your idea of a level playing field includes:

    http://www.tidesports.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/99999999/TSNCAA/208290009

Aug. 2, 1995: Alabama football program penalized for $24,000 in impermissible bank loans made to a student-athlete and for lack of institutional control during the NCAA investigation.

Program sees a reduction of total grants from 85 to 81 for 1995-96 and 1996-97, a reduction from 25 to 12 initial grants for 1996-97 and forfeiture of contests in 1993-94. The university also received a public reprimand, the disassociation of athletics representatives and forced to submit annual reports and attend NCAA compliance seminar.

Major findings cited by the NCAA Infractions Committee in imposing penalties on the Alabama football program Friday:

A recruit, identified in news reports as Kenny Smith, and his parents were given $20,000 in cash, lodging and entertainment by two Crimson Tide boosters beginning in 1995. The first payment of $10,000 was made in $100 bills delivered in a grocery bag. Smith signed with Alabama but couldn't meet academic requirements.

An Alabama booster previously identified as Logan Young of Memphis, Tenn., gave cash to a high school coach who was seeking $100,000 cash and two sport-utility vehicles in exchange for directing star recruit Albert Means to Alabama.

An assistant coach, former recruiting coordinator Ronnie Cottrell, received two loans totaling $56,600 from Young in violation of NCAA rules. The loan was not repaid until the case became known.

Two boosters involved in repeated rules violations were known to the Alabama staff, coaches and fans and often were seen at the team hotel during road games.

A recruit, identified previously as Travis Carroll, was given the use of a car in 1999 for agreeing to attend Alabama. The car was repossessed when Carroll transferred to Florida.

Dang, you would think you hired SOS with all this pious talk about easy mountains to climb with a level playing field. He is the only one to walk that walk.

This isn't about AU and the tide, it is about how the tide decides to "compete" with the rest of the SEC. The fruit on the higher branches isn't so easy to reach when you have to stretch like others rather than bringing a ladder to the party.

Auburn should be allowed to talk about cheating.
