I think that he made his fair share of mental errors. I think we are saying the same thing though, that one of our current QBs will have to play with his leadership & show the smarts to get the job done.

I love how people WILL NOT give RP his due yet:

Will make for quite a show when he is running a muck in Tiger Stadium:

He DOMINATED the All-Star game: This dude can play!

I understand the pessimistic outlook though until he plays a down.

Man I hope you are right...but I've been around LSU football long enough to wait and see...too many saviors have turned into the anti-christ when it comes to QB's at LSU.

Didn't take it as a dis brother... :thumb:

There have been several that have come along who were supposed to be hot out of HS and wound up riding the bench, or worse, playing because we didn't have a choice. With the studs in the stable now...man I can only dream.

that lingering aftertaste of josh booty helped curb most LSU fan's expectations when it comes to recruits but I'll step out and say RP is gonna set the world on fire here at LSU. except it will be when JR leaves.

I sure would like to see Jimbo Fisher get a chance at a head coaching job one day.
Maybe right here at LSU, he seems to like it here! :helmet:

JR had all the same credentials as far as throwing the ball that RP had and we all saw how he struggled last season. He wasn't bad, but wasn't good. I'm sure there is not an LSU fan in the world who isn't pulling real hard for Ryan to be as good as advertised.

The problem is that the list of can't miss prospects that never panned out is much, much longer than the ones who became stars.

I also believe that many of the fans have the same thought as I do. That JR has 2 great seasons and RP redshirts and then plays some as a RS fresnman and takes over the job the follwoing season, that would mean we could possibly have several seasons of outstanding QB play in a row.

    This quote scares me!
He hasn't even played one down?
Why not wait and see if he is the real deal or not first?
We don't need any overrated or overblown egos at LSU, your destined
for trouble when that happens the honeymoon will be over!
    No more :crystal: then!
