1. There are thousands of unfilled jobs for engineers, registered nurses, lab technicians, doctors, and other highly skilled jobs requiring specific educations, this is true. But there is a definite shortage of jobs for high-school educated but hard workers in manufacturing, the oil fields, the chemical plants, the lumber industry, construction, and agriculture. These major industries are not hiring like they once did in Louisiana due to the economy.

    Louisiana unemployment is 6 percent, which is higher than any time since 2003. We deserve our share of the money.
  2. I'm pretty sure you can't do that. Jindal has indicated numerous times that the money is contingent on a permanent change in the law.

    This is what I understand as well and I agree with him. How in the world would Louisiana take back benefits for unemployment. I wonder how many times that has happened nationwide.......Red?
  3. :lol::rofl::lol:
  4. Hot diggity. Another person who knee-jerks his way to a conclusion that is not supported by any evidence. What label do you give yourself? :)
  5. Look, a pot and a kettle. Introduce yourselves. :lol:
  6. Link?

  7. Attitude. Me likes.:thumb:

    I call myself a "Clinger" (guns and religion...get it?).

    Most will tell you I lean a tad to the right.:hihi:
  8. Doesn't fit. Unlike my respondents, I explained why I said what I did. If you disagree with what I said, fine, that could be the basis of a conversation, but you shouldn't support people who'd rather just label me a "liberal" without responding in any substantive way to what I said. Or maybe you can explain to me why what I said was "liberal"?
  9. Exactly, but shouldn't you have said "his FIRST and final US senate term" ??

    By the way, Welcome to the board tima - seriously !
