    I thought JJ looked great.

He actually ran the option well today. His problem is that he usually pitches the ball too soon or pitches it when he should have held it. He held it that extra half a second today that kept the defender engaged on him and didn't allow him to check down to the pitch man and hit him for little to no gain.

In order for the option to work the other team has to respect the fact that the QB might keep the ball.

Thats how the option is ment to be played. He did it perfect.

In fact, until he got hurt, He was doing his job DAMN well..

Pitching it late is great - as long as the guy isn't covered. The one he pitched for a -7 loss was his only terrible decision.

I wish we would do away with the option. He doesn't seem comfortable running it. Also I noticed that when they would just call a play, let him drop back and throw, he looked very good. But when we run the stupid meerkat offense we look like crap.
