I hope the lights come on, whats so hard about just throwing the ball after 3 seconds, he overthinks almost every throw.

I don't think Jefferson is as bad as the last game indicated.

I bet that stat-wise that game was not typical. Does anyone know JJs QB rating by game last year and so far this year. I bet that would tell if I'm right or wrong in my impression of Jefferson.

Nootch...this is probably up your alley...got any stats that indicate whether JJ's Vandy performance was typical or aberrant?

no i agree he normally has an average to good game..nothing spectacular..but not any game costing mistakes...the problem is everyone sees all the potential this offense has and jj is holding them back to some extent...if he comes out sat and performs well he will get a little slack...if he stinks it up again.....he may be on the bench awhile

Saturday he completed 40% and a 70.32 rating
    both career lows

previous lows were 42.9% (his 1st ever start) and 100.38 rating (florida last year)

    he had a bad night.

    this is my opinion.

here is how i feel on the QBs

with JJ, you may never look back and say HE lost the game. But at the same time, you may never look back and say HE won the game.

with Lee, with his gunslinger mentality.
you may look back and say HE won the game for you.
however, we have already seen HE can lose one for you too.

    so pick your poison.
do you want a guy who won't screw up, and hope you get enough to win?
or do you want a guy that will make bigger plays, but might cost you a game or two?

I hope you are right but head scratching coaching decisions happen a good bit at LSU lately.

JJ has been given 17 starts and plenty of milk

JL not sure about the number of starts and plenty of burbon

don't think both where given same shot

I don't think I will see the same JL that I saw as a freshman

He has been through alot since 08

This is what Les said on Monday. The way I see it is that JJ will play and we will do all we can to get him to be more aggressive! Aggressive also means confident also but he didn't want to use the main word confident. After 16 games our QB is not confident and aggressive. I see much more Fire with JL and so what if he throws a int every now in then. You guys ever watch Bret throw 2 ints and they still win the game!!!!

    man

I have a bad feeling about all this

"The quarterback play, we have to get better at it," he said. "I think everybody knows that, certainly our quarterbacks do. I think Jordan Jefferson has run this team and can run this team, and whatever we can do to make him more aggressive playing quarterback for us is what we are going to do.
"We also like the improvements that Jarrett Lee has made, and certainly he is a very strong consideration, but first I want you to know that I want to see if we can get Jordan on track. I enjoy him and I enjoy his leadership, so we are going to work to that eventuality."
