Bhelm, I didn't feel like I was being chastised and still don't. I realize you have a different view from mine and I am good with it. I realize that our view points differ here and I am not going to change your mind and you are not going to change mine. I am good with that it is not a big deal to me. Regarding knowing he wanted to go to LSU before Christmas and parents being gung-ho, that just proves my point. I read the article from a young man that went to high-school with both Kiel brothers and was starting out in sports writing and had some sports show on their high school campus can't remember the kids name but that is irrelevant. That kid was apparently the second person outside of the Kiel family to know where he was going and wrote and article about what the Kiel family told him and the part about his parents being gung-ho and him being so jacked up prior to Christmas because he knew where he wanted to go and was excited about it - Well that came from the young man who was friends with the Kiel's. So there is mis-information going around somewhere and I personally doubt the kid made that stuff up. So I put it on the Kiel's. The whole point is this every family is going to do what is in their best interest no matter what stories are told and heard and I can't blame them if it were my son I know I would damn well do what I felt was in his best interests. So maybe that young man just got cold feet, like you said and maybe he watched the most pathetic display of offensive performance in a BCSNC game and said that might not be where I want to be, it is real simple I don't know the answer I am just speculating because I don't know the kid or the parents. But if the Kiel's misinformed one sports writer that was a family friend so to speak maybe they have done it again, Zebra's don't change their stripes, and fortunately for us neither do Tigers!!!! :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
Huh? The JL comment was pretty much the same thing that JJ said (and T-Bob and others). They basically said: The coaches could have called the plays that they had practiced and used the players that those plays called for but they didn't and that left the players confused and their confidence in the coaching staff shaken. He is out of the program and is voicing the SAME STUFF that other former players have been saying since the game. My point is the one you just proved. If it is JJ complaining then he must be vilified. If it is JL complaining it must be exalted. JJ left it all on the field and did his best. He is a tiger and always will be. The one that has no loyalty is YOU. This place is turning into Tiger Droppings...
So in short... If it is JJ, burn him. If it is JL, praise him. It all depends on who says it. Everything else you said is nonsense to me and I disagree with most of it (Lee was benched because he deserved it because he was not as good as proven over and over again year after year, Lee did not do what he was supposed to do (classwork), Lee screwed us out of getting the OL recruit that went to AU by not graduating on time (not Gunner's fault), Lee missed a good bit of BCS game prep because he did not graduate on time and was taking a class, etc blah blah blah same rehash... Lee has only Lee to blame, not Miles). And as far as Miles bucking the sentiment of the fans... if the fans are as looney as the ones on this board recently (with respect to the hate shown to JJ) then for goodness sakes I am thrilled that he ignores you. And no, any coach that went 13-1 is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING TOAST!!!! Your unrealistic expectations were not met, so you are going to blast JJ, Miles, and anyone else that pops up. Pathetic. Teams lose big games. It happens. It sucks, but it happens. If you want to rag on players, rag on the OL and the WRs for forgetting how to block. Blame the entire offense that couldn't execute the simple plays to the point that the coaching staff probably didn't trust them to run the rest of the game plan they had practiced. Nope, can't do that. Just gotta rag on JJ and Les. There was more to that game than just JJ and Miles. Geez.
I will just repost the same thing I told the other JJ loyalist. You are forgetting one important thing. THE ENTIRE GAME PLAN WAS MADE FOR JJ. So what does JJ do he criticizes it cause he can't excute the game plan that was MADE FOR HIM! The game plan was never for JL or DP. They have a right to question it. They gave up their time and practiced hard. To do what? Sit the bench. JL said he expected to play. Where was that game plan? Didn't see it on Jan 9th. oh and last time I checked JL or T-bob wasn't in a bar fight? Grades or bar fight...grades or bar fight...which one is more worse for the team as a LEADER!:wave: so in your "logical" mind it is ok for us to "rag" on the OL and the WR's but not the almight JJ, right?
