The most difficult position we have had recruiting lately is at QB. No 5 star or even high 4 star kid has seriously considered coming to LSU in the past 4 recruiting classes. Jarrett Lee has been our highest QB recruited in that time (middle of the road 4 star). That's an issue. And it won't get better anytime soon with what is transpiring right now. And these kids are really smart and know what's going on at each school.

If I'm a highly touted QB coming out of high school, I'm not going to LSU.

Ridley kinda spoke up when he publically called Lee their QB.

    No way.

If the players don't feel the coach is playing THE player who gives a team THE best chance to win they'll turn on him in a second...so that's not it.

    According to Rivals Database
    2005 RP - 5 Stars
2006 - NONE My guess is RP was a factor
    2007 JL - 4 Stars
    2008 JJ - 4 Stars
    2009 ZL - 4 Stars

So do you see it as 5 star or nothing?

No, but neither Jefferson or Lee was "highly touted".

I'm talking about the Andrew Lucks, Aaron Murrays, Philip Sims, etc.

Zach Lee was a stab in the dark as he was a package deal with the baseball team and that didn't work out as the money was too much in MLB.

By the way all of those guys are rated top 10; 1, 7,8, and 9 respectively. And I left out R Sheppard who was also a 5 star #.

You'll never get "it"... the way that position has been treated the last 2.5 seasons, it'll be a miracle to ever bring in a top talent QB.

    Please see facts above.
    Thank you for playing.

As an aside, when people say the phrase "you don't get "it"" it frequently means they can't explain "It".

This is ridiculous. No one...players, fans, boosters, random people on the side of the highway buy into this. Players, fans, boosters, and gamblers want the best chance to win a game.

I see that Les isn't going to play the best player, and give his team the best chance to win. END

I get it though...we all REALLY want a logical explanation for all of this. I do too....and now we are all becoming "little mad hatters". Just getting straight illogical with it. Before long we will all be mad...smashing things and foaming at the mouth.
