Seemed like a nice guy, but he was not an effective leader. He let the Tea party take over from the traditional Republicans and he has no support from any of them right now. Look for the GOP to make a hard right turn next. It's not going to be pretty. It will be interesting to see what the traditional Reagan republicans will do. Fade away, fight back, or go their own way. Everybody expected him to resign as Speaker, but leaving Congress is surprising.

He was ineffective because he doesn't possess a spine. I hope he takes his buddy Mitch out the door with him. Both useless. They didn't let the tea party take over anything, what they did was cater to the every whim of the liberals even when they had the majority in both houses. They absolutely suck and I'm glad his crying ass is leaving. Maybe we can get this shit turned around now.

Maybe they can march off into the right-wing sunset and completely out of relevance. The GOP is turning into Tea Party Trumpland just before the election. The next year will be very interesting. The GOP will either have to change dramatically or split.

I should get whiskey for Boehner dropping out.

Did you hear the radio ad of the guy who ran against him in the primaries last election? It was a play on a viagra ad.

The best thing he ever did for the country was resign. He was\is a spineless bastard. Good bye and good riddance, maybe someone with a pair of balls will take his place.

It's likely he was diagnosed with some disease and had to resign for his health.
