    It was and still is a joke in all of college basketball that a team with those 3 guys couldnt win it all. Hype? How can a team with those 3 guys be billed as hype? That makes me laugh. We only played 3 ranked opponents that year to boot.

    By the way.. usually great teams=great talent.

    perimeter D is the main thing that team lacked. (again short guards)

    they were very inexperienced.

    shaq was often in foul trouble. remember that the ncaa experimented with 6 personals that year and it kept shaq in a lot of games.

    was that the year before Ark joined the sec? what was our record in the sec that year 12-4?

    Wonder why so many Brady Bashers minds seem to always be on Brady's A$$? Is there something else bothering you?

    Is that the game where Knight said he was worried but then looked down the sidelines and saw Brown and knew they still had a good chance?

    The one that hurt the most was blowing a 12 point lead against Indiana in the final 8. Brown decided to slow the game dowm the last 4 minutes otherwise the Tigers are in the final 4 in the Superdome. That team while not his most talented really came together at tourney time and would have been tough to beat in New Orleans.

    agreed... was the famous phone slamming incidient by Knight. His famous quote was he was not nervous on being down when he looked down and saw Dale Brown on the bench. I was at that game.... that team would have been hard to beat in NO.

    the 12 pt blown lead was 92 (shaq's last year)

    Knight's $10,000 phone slam was in 1987 (1986-87 season), and LSU blew a 9 pt lead in that game with 4 1/2 min. left.

    Knight=peckerhead.

    Knight should have rec'd TF on phone slamming garbage. What a joke! I think the next time I hear that idiot Vitale screech "the General ... Robert Montgomery Knight" I'm gonna hurl. IU fired his outrageous obnoxious a$$. Dale retired gracefully. I'll take Dale over Knight any day, NC's or not. Wouldn't you just love for your son to play for this nutjob and get choked? No thanks.
