The writing was on the wall. We all knew it was coming down and I have to believe that even Brady knew it. Why not do it now and make it known that we're looking for a coach?

Brady wasnt as bad as he was made out to be. But it is an awful feeling knowing you have reached your teams potential, no matter what the record was. We knew we were never going to be a top tier program and a change was needed.

it's never good to see a man lose his job, and his press conference is sad...

that being said, I'd disagree with you on him not being as bad as he was made out to be...

he never graduated anyone, the teams rarely met potential, and lost lots of kids to transfers...

I don't remember him having a point guard

I respect the man. That is a tough press conference and he is a great guy to stand up there and address this. I have all the respect in the world for him.

    it's a free audition.

let's see if Butch can improve the kids any, and if not, it's bye-bye for him, too.

Just listened to Brady's press conference. I agree with letting him go. I also feel for him and have great respect for how he is leaving. Many expresses of appreciation by him for the opportunity to coach at LSU, and made sure he said he was leaving with no animosity towards LSU. It was a speech from the heart. He reiterated the accomplishments during his tenure, and rightly so.

I am not a JB fan, but I thank him for his effort. I believe he did what he thought was best for LSU.

"Longtime associate head coach Butch Pierre will lead the Tigers the rest of the season, starting with today's home game against No. 7-ranked Tennessee at 2 p.m. Saturday"

I think JB will do one more Inside LSU Bball show, but no coaching.

I figure Butch Pierre will land on his feet elsewhere. But what happens with Collis Temple Sr? The man has been very influential with the program with reguards to recruiting. I cannot see a new guy keeping him around.

what will the new coach do? Force Collis to move? lol

he isn't on staff. He can coach AAU anywhere he wants and can influence anyone he wants to go to LSU.
