We should have quadrupled what we were paying Emerett... that guy was what lifted LSU out of the cellar and i have a feeling had he stayed... we woulda picked up a better FB candidate... and i would wish, a better Baseball coach... John would just be fired and Butch Pierre could coach for all i care at this point.
Garrett Temple should not have been on the court for 3/4 of the 2nd half. What does he bring us? Turnovers? No points? Don't get me wrong - I've played w/him and he can shoot. Now in saying that, he is outclassed in college ball. Last year he came in, stick thin, and redshirted. This year, still no meat added and his game hasn't improved. I agree w/the poster above that says put Tas @ 2 guard - was talking about this during the game. Dear Coach, Tyrus Thomas needs to be in the starting lineup! This dude doesn't even get tired, he pumps up the crowd and plays his heart out (while playing smart)
well lets look at all of brady's accomplishments at lsu... 1) he...I'll come back to that 2) then..oh wait 3) how about that time... well, **** I can't think of any... let's give houston all the credit in the world. they came out of the conference usa... in a state they where they compete with texas, texas tech, texas A&M, and others for recruits... and beat LSU in baton rouge... now lets give brady all the credit in the world...he coached a good first half... alright, that about sums it up.
Naw, I'm really looking forward to this year. Not because I'm hungry, but because I reallllllllly like our chances. Barring any major injuries, we'll have one of the most solid pitching rotations in the SEC, if not the country. We'll have more speed and agility (CJ, Hollander, Sprowl and Ogata.) We'll have power (Harris, Harris, Padron, Mayer, Steward.) Defense will be a big question mark, but CJ and Hollander looked very promising last season. Lack of leadership may hurt us a bit, but I don't think that Smoke could mess this team up. I know we lost a lot of leadership, but the players we have coming back, believe or not, have been some of the same players that either made it, or didn't make it for us over the last couple seasons. CJ is vocal enough to be a great leader, he has the passion for it. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but you never know. This team may feel like it has something to prove. I'm looking more forward to this upcoming season than I have in a long while! :tigbas: :tigbas: :tigbas:
Well we will be very young and will miss Stavinhoa's gun in OF... and RP/CH power hitting, but this could be just the transition we need. OF - looks like Stewart, Sprowl, Bogany could be a weakness in the corners defensively. Stewart needs to find his swing. 1st- Will Harris, trusty guy, has to step up as a team leader this year. 2nd- Ogata or Padron ? Dunno who fits in here SS- Hollander - quick guy, and a good lead off hitter 3rd- CJ - great gap hitter, great defense, will be a team leader C- Luizza (must step up in the box), Lara will get alot of PT from what i hear DH- Mayer - we will need his power Pitchers Dirks is Friday (from a friend) Saturday - Ramirez or Meier maybe Sunday-Ramirez, Meier, Bonura, or Coleman (heard good things about him) Battng Order based on last year: Hollander CJ Will Harris Mayer Liuzza Padron? Sprowl Stewart Bogany
This sure didn't take long........................... Man if we could just get baseball to start around this time we could merge a bunch of threads to be able to bash all sports at one time.....that would be a hoot and we could save alot of room in the process.......:thumb:
