I just hope that JR comes back for his senior year. Trust me, if he leaves early we will miss him big time. If he stays, he will leave as one of the great LSU QB's.

I wish we could learn to stop before spouting off at the mouth and jumping at the first chance we get to bash our own players or coaches and just focus on the positives things that we DO have.

He almost has to stay his senior year. If he leaves the following year he should be one of the top 3 QBs in the draft. I has nothing besides injuries to worry about. He already knows that us fans will start another pointless QB contoversy and Miles will let them compete like every team does every year. And he will win out again. RP will wait patiently for his shot while JR brings us a NC.

He is a gone pecan after this season. Will be picked somewhere around 10-15 in the first round.

By this time next year Flynn will be starting and everyone will be bitching about why we are not playing RP.

This was JD's 2nd game of his college career, and he looks 2-3 times more polished of a QB than 3rd year QB JRussell. Something desperately wrong with that.

He is a player at the quarterback position that came into the college ranks highly touted

He is a physical quarterback, who physically reminds me of current NFL quarterback "Duante Cullpepper", though at the same stage in their collegiate careers Cullpepper was more likely to scramble once the pocket began to break down

Though he brings a legitimate running threat from the quarterback position and for opposing defenses to defend, he is a throw first, scramble second type quarterback

He is a player that stands tall in the pocket, who is willing to take on oncoming hits from defenders to complete balls down field, and is fearless both inside and outside the pocket

He shows good natural movement within the pocket, with the versatility to extend passing plays with his legs and make passes on the move

He is a quarterback that plays within the system and does not force plays in the passing game, he provides both command and leadership to the Tigers offense, and possesses a calm demeanor which reflects on the teammates around him

He has the skill to deliver the ball with a flick of the wrist, which he delivers on a rope with high velocity and spin, and he has the skill to throw any number of passes along the the field, with the variety of touch needed on each pass

Once he knows the pass is not available and he decides to run upfield he can be a load to bring down, along with possessing above average speed and movement on the run

He has franchise type skill and size that is rare to find in one player at the quarterback position, if he stays on course it should culminate in him being a high draft pick in the NFL draft when he becomes eligible, baring injury

I would like to see him work on his conditioning, because I have seen quarterbacks at his size eat their way out of the game, and worse yet never reach their potential, but at this point he has a bright future to look forward to

Man, I hope no QB recruits ever read LSU message boards, they'd be nuts to become a Tigah if they did. Perfection is not attainable in football but that is exactly what so many of the guys expect.

That's the irony of all this talk, USC fans have a lot of questions they are wating for Booty to answer too. "Too many tipped passes", "Concentrates on Jarrett too much" (Jarrett is out for several weeks now), "Throws too early".

Certainly not condoning it but I'm sure they know it goes with the territory. I've seen it in high school where it was so bad, the high school teams' fans booed when one QB was sent in (It happened to be the Hd. Coaches brother who was a Sr.) and cheered when the Jr. QB went in rotation. The Hd. Coach actually stuck the finger to the crowd. How sad a sight to see from all involved!
