When I was sitting right behind the LSU benches for the Arkansas game, JJ and Mett were right in the mix with all of the offensive players throughout the game. JL was sitting way at the end of the offensive players' bench.

So, the public perception was certainly that JJ had an attitude problem, and he did look sulky a lot of the time on camera. Still, it looked like the team was on his side, as evidenced by the players writing #9 on their arms during the suspension and things like that. Wasn't he also voted as a team captain?

Neither QB was very good, and both have moved on. It simply irritates me that it seems like LSU fans are happy that JJ has been cut at Tampa Bay. Why would we ever be happy to see one of our own get cut in the NFL?

Well, it's why they call it being benched. It's hard to be a rah-rah guy when you know you won't get to play.

Beats me. I still think he has a shot to play in Canada.

Sure, he didn't have to be happy about being benched. But his body language was every bit as negative as any JJ has put out there. I'm glad that both have used up their eligibility and have moved on.

Noticed that myself. Attitudes always the precursor to the end result. Miles is going to have to regroup the troops and get the guys focused on the task at hand. Not always easy, especially if seeds of discontent have been sown and watered for a season. Chavis has done a remarkable job as the DC. I know he's making over a mil per year, but it ain't enough.

These are probably the same people who bashed JL his first 3 years and thought JJ was the answer. JL's redemption didn't come till the Florida game in 2010. Rememer the second string QB is always the most popular when #1 struggles. Probably after Mett's first INT they will call Rivers the savior.

It's also a sure way to remain benched, too.

No trolling. We are talking about a couple of guys that are gone. Not another opportunity for veiled insults at Les or the Tigers from you.

Yep. And by all accounts, Mettenberger is extremely confident...almost sounds a little cocky, which ain't a bad thing. I'm pretty anxious to see how that translates to the rest of the squad.

Judging by what I've seen through the offseason, spring practices, the spring game, twitter messages, facebook posts, these guys seem very confident and focused. They seem to be not only accepting the pressures and responsibilites, but relishing in it also. I'm stoked.
