“I was just measured the other day,” he stated. “Now I’m 6’5 and 215 pounds. I’m usually running in the 4.5’s in the 40 yard dash. I run a 4.1 shuttle and a 6.8 three cone drill. My bench max is up to 270, and my squat is 450.”

He has been on Moffit's workout program all spring long. He has improved his speed in the 40 using better technique/form.

Will be on campus June 2. Would like to contribute THIS SEASON. In fact, he said his goal is to make the All-SEC Freshman team if he doesn't get redshirted.

Don't sleep on this kid. He may very well be our QB for a 3 year stretch.

Well JR was about 240/250 lbs

I would like to see Jefferson be at about 225/230 lbs.

But yes, a much faster version (between Flynn and Perrilloux's speed)

It's going to be a bit tough for him. Jarrett Lee is looking pretty good too and is only a redshirt Freshman, and then Shepard comes in the year after. Good to know we'll have three great QB's for some time.

JR during the 06' season was hovering around the 260 mark, which made commentators laugh as he was as big or bigger then most of the LBs trying to sack him.

His arm strength appears to be on par with that of Perrilloux's.

    Instant winner

    Got speed under them legs
ARM too! Kid has a heart as big as his talent. He refuses to aim low or even half way. Only flaw so far is youth and snapping wrist which makes him venerable. Busted his throwing wrist twice in 06, great line should keep him healthy. He certainly deserves a look at competing with his peers. God forbid he doesn't get to start, he might just work harder! He is a Tiger.

Nice info, I'm very pleased with our QB situation.
