It's all how you analyze the numbers. For example, I took the numbers you posted, and it looks like Bush gained 5.4 yards per attempt (rushing + receiving), while Addai only gained 5.3 yards per attempt (rushing + receiving). Bush is CLEARLY superior!!!
Joe did great for the Colts throughout the season. 4.8 Y/Carry was 4th in the AFC. Bush did great with the Saints with all the catches. If you switch them up on their teams they both don't do as well, i think you can say that much about that. Don't hate on Reggie for getting outproduced by Addai, But i do think it says more about their respective colleges
In the end, pointless comparison but that is what makes this forum so great for lurkers like myself. JoeReck gets partial credit for the library of Caddy Shack quotes if nothing else... Later
The Saints frequently lined Bush up at WR, and also used him as a decoy alot. His impact was not measured by numbers alone, but by how his presence on the field affected the opponent's approach. Addai was pretty much a traditional TB, albeit one who caught a lot of passes. I agree, its difficult to compare the two head-to-head. Addai and Rhodes should have shared the MVP award. Now....how about a Fresca?
