Josh Boutte suspended 1 game for cheap shot

He shouldn't have been a starter in the first place. He lost his job to a freshman last year after the first game when it looked like he was dropped off in a foreign country and asked to communicate with the locals. Again he looked the same way, missing blocks, looking like a fool on a nicely set up screen that if he makes his block it goes for a big gain. And then the cheap shot. I hope he never plays again.

I thought the Offensive Line play in general was poor, and Boutte looked completely lost out there a couple of times. I have no idea what he was doing on that screen play. The cheap shot at the end of the game was inexcusable as well as dangerous. I'd be surprised if he gets much playing time the rest of the season.

True. A half of a game suspension by NCAA by-laws. Boutte had the same half of a game suspension until Miles added to it and made it a whole game.

We'll see if the PAC, or the USC officials, add to their players suspension.

I am not surprised you miss the second part. We have talent, look at draft boards, we just fail to fully coach them on all sides.
