There was a Browns fan poll and the fans do not want BQ, not saying it wont happen but if JR goes 1, watch out for Peterson going 3 the fan favorite at this point if JR is gone.

Newsflash....Kiffin WANTED to deal with the transition. Sarkisian was offered first and he ultimately chose not to deal. Different strokes. For Kiffin what better way to learn how to be a head coach than to watch someone else do it, in this case Al Davis. A joke that has Lane laughing all the way to the bank and a better resume. Just like CEO's with an average job expectancy of 5 years, most NFL head coaches don't take the job expecting that things will end well............that's why they end.

Lane was highly criticized and probably no more than by the SC fans. That's the nature of the game, yes? Who has been Ty Willingham's biggest detractor on this forum bitter? Norm Chow was a great OC and a superb QB developer....still is. That doesn't make him HC material. I've had many opportunities to meet and talk with Coach Chow. He's a very reserved individual and not entirely comfortable with the public, the press, or the fans. PC is the exact opposite and so they made a good team. Al Davis picked someone who showed flashes of brilliance, has a tremendous football mind, and grew up around the NFL. He also picked a young man who will let Al make most of the decisions. If it works for them, what's your problem with it? Do you go to friend's weddings and tell them they make a lousy couple?

But, why sign for Jamal Lewis then if you're going to use the third pick on Peterson? If you're going to have pick Peterson, then I would have gone out and gotten a QB instead of another RB. Its pretty obvious that the Browns need another QB to replace Charlie Fry- he threw 22 ints. vs 14 TDs. And, with playmakers like Winslow and Edwards, you need somebody to throw the ball to them.

And, you cannot discount the Romeo Crennel-Charlie Weiss connection. When CW tells Crennel that Quinn is the real deal, then RC has to believe that given their past history working at NE and seeing what CW did to Tom Brady.

as much as i would love to see JR be the #1 pick, it would be a relief not to see him go there.

If I was a Raiders fan, I'd be pissed to hear that joke. They're bringing in a new coach just so he can learn on the job and end up doing so badly that he gets fired early and walks away with a giant paycheck.? Out of all the choices out there, this was the best they could do?

And, what qualifications does Kiffin that makes him a better choice than Chow other than Kiffin is more gregarious and that he has family conncetions? This is the NFL, not college football. Bill Bilichick isn't some gregarious fellow either, and look at his success. If you were the Raiders and were going to pick JR, who would you rather have as your HC to help develop him- Chow or Kiffin. I'd choose Chow in a heartbeat, after seeing what he did with Vince Young last year at Tenn.

I may or may not know someone who knows JR's roommate and this person may or may not have worked on a project with them this week (CP knows what I'm talking about). Anyways, this person I may or may not know was talking to JR's roommate and they went to Mobile last weekend for a last hurrah. They came back for a week and then they're headed to NY next weekend. He may have said that JR is starting to realize how big of a deal this is as far as how his entire family's life is going to change. Also, they may be under the impression that CJ is going first (Rattay is further evidence, apparently) and when this person I may or may not know asked if they had an idea, they have no clue which team is going to bite first on JR.

I heard on sportscenter this morning the fact that the raiders have not bitten on a free agent quarterback and the longer this week they don't maybe more proof that they want JR. Not saying this is better or worse for JR besides being obviously more money at number one but what will it matter if Oakland has all these wide receivers and no QB to throw it too?

Well the arguments I have heard are that Jamal Lewis is a bandaid and has had injury problems. He is getting old for a RB. With AP your are taking less of a risk for the future because some say he is for sure a future HOFamer. The Browns picked up Couch at #1 a few years back and that was a huge bust. Now if some think that BQ career might resemble lets say a Couch, Boiler, or Bledsoe who is borderline HOF consideration do you take a risk at the #3 spot and even though he may have similar careers as these guys.

No one knows for sure how his career will turn out. But I do know that AP has a chance to be taken at the #3 spot. And I know that Browns fans are that excited about drafting BQ. However, I believe they will suck it up and take BQ but you have to think they are considering picking up a Drew Stanton in the 2nd round or Troy Smith in the 3rd. Or they could even take BQ @ #3 and use him in a trade to get one of these other QBs and some other help the Browns desperatly need.
