A QB with a vision: http://www.al.com/sports/mobileregister/index.ssf?/base/sports/111632165316210.xml&coll=3
A statement like that would normally scare the hell out of fans, but given what JR has been through, maybe he means it. So if he knows the O so well, has his problem been more one of disciplined execution, or what?
Well, he was a rs freshman last year and only got better as the year went on. It seems obvious he was young and pressed too much last year. But knowing the offense is one thing. Playing against the speed of an SEC defense is another. That comes with experience. He'll be twice as good this year as he was at the end of last year.
His problem has been: 1) not enough dedication to film study and practice, as alluded to by Nick Saban through the first part of 2004-05 2) trying to make plays too fast, as he himself alluded to through the first part of 2004-05. I'd say by now he should know the offense backwards and forwards. That probably wasn't the case most of last season.
I think one of the things that will help all of the QB's is Miles penchant to scrimmage at full speed.
