Hope it isn't a high ankle sprain. Those things hurt all year long it seems. Skylar and Addai both had them and it seemed like they bothered them for the entire season.

WOW, if the D really is better than last years, I'll be partying my ass off until January.

You said it first, I haven't heard this before. But the potential is there. Dorsey, Favorite, Alexander, RJF, all were HIGHLY recruited coming out of high school, as well as the 3 starting linebackers. I remember biting nails waiting to see if Sanders would pick LSU over Oklahoma. They have pedigrees from high school days, they've been given a couple of years to develop physically and mentally, and now its time to see if they've grown into stars at this level. That's certainly possible. It is hard to think you could lose 3 starting linemen to the NFL and have a better defense, but I think we'll be faster at linebacker, and the secondary has talent and experience. If our linemen come along, they could have a better season. I can't call that without seeing us play against a quality team. That will happen against Az. then Au.

If the offense can sustain drives and keep the defense fresh, that will help also.

  6. This may be a redundant question since I have been away from the board for a while and have not been able to keep up to date on the progress of the football team. DO we have any serious health issues? I've heard that Ally was out for a while. What's the depth chart looking like as of now. Any info to help get me back up to speed, is greatly appreciated!

No season-ending injury yet, although Kirston Pittman will not play this season from a spring injury.

Alley may not be good to go for the opener, Miles is cagey.

I have high hopes for this season as well. I think the defense will be every bit as good this year as last year and have always thought that. All of our D-linemen are superstuds though they don't have a lot of experience. I am tremendously concerned about our O-Line and in the end, I think it will be our undoing (when I say our undoing, I mean the reason we can't win the BCS). I don't think they two games they have to prepare for Auburn will be enough. As much as I hate to say it, I think we will lose to Auburn on the 19th with our O-Line being overmatched.

I really do pray that I'm wrong. I'm not a negative person, just the way I see it.

    What do you guys think?

yes... Miles doesn't like to show his hand much, but last practice I went through, I went through my roster and checked off everyone who was suited up, and there were no surprised...

all of the folks we're counting on are healthy so far
