I saw this reported on WBRZ news last night. It was RP's lawyer who said that the video showed his client was jumped though. So take that for what it's worth.

 

Is this video inside or outside the Varsity? Do they have cameras inside the Varsity?

The early reports indicated RP and Odom (Odom got it worse) took a pretty good beating outside, so I won't be shocked if the outside camera verifies that. I would think video inside would tell a better story of who/how the fight started.

I do not know if he is guilty or not but I do know first hand about varsity bouncers. I use to work for Riverside Towing and we were checking illegally parked cars in the apartments behind the varsity and tiger bar.We came around the north side of the apartments and seen about seven guys on one.At first we thought stay out of it nothing but a bunch of drunks until this girl ran up to our truck freaking out .She told us it was her boyfriend and the guys where bouncers from the varsity. We ask her what happened she said he clicked a light switch off on the way out the door and they chased him down into the apartment's at that point we got out of the truck and grab her boyfriend and put him behind us .The bouncers said but out but we couldn't this kid was tore up. We told them we will call the cops and they will handle it. By this time we are behind the bar and it was closing and anyone that has been there before knows there are a lot of people leaving .Well they all see the tow truck (which they hated)the bouncers and this guy and his girlfriend. Luckily the cops were on there way because all these people had us surrounded even though the guy that was with me was a boxer we where way outnumbered .Cops show up and put the guy and his girl friend in jail and a couple of days later we found out the girlfriend told the truth and two of the bouncers went to jail and they were going to sue the varsity .Imoved before I heard anything else .So take this story and do what you will I just hope everyone has there facts .GEAUX TIGERS:tigereye:

it's certainly possible. Talked to a friend of mine in the NOPD a couple of months ago and they said those bouncers can be a bad breed. He said SOME float around from club to club after getting fired and are quick to whip an ass. Seems like a person a year is getting beaten to death by a bouncer in NO. Not saying they did anything wrong.....just saying it's possible.

i will take that for what it's worth. fisher is fed up with the slander his client endures every time he hiccups.

he also realizes he has a pretty good case here and employees at the varsity are really the ones responsible for spreading the rumors. i'm not mad at my friends for saying what they said, but when the manager tells me RP had a gun i'll believe it. when it turns out to be untrue, that's not good on the varsity's part and they should've been more cautious about what they were saying.

no lawyer runs his mouth like fisher is doing when they don't have a sewed up case. i think RP's "criminal" involvement is done, but i don't think the case is closed (obviously).

hopefully though, the varsity employees will learn how to deal with a high profile event better and the lsu "fans" will learn not to crucify one of their players before the truth is out.
