    LSU: 3
    Florida: 5
    Alabama: 7

In a rare occurrence, LSU isn't leading the pack in juniors leaving this year. A total of 125 juniors are leaving for the 2019 draft, up from 106 in 2018, and way up from 98 in 2014.

I expect this trend to continue. If the AAF has a successful first season and the XFL comes online next year, the number of juniors leaving for professional leagues will continue to increase year after year.

What this means for our Tigers is up to speculation. But I hope Bama finally starts to suffer the attrition LSU has endured for the last decade.

When does this kickoff? It will be interesting to keep an eye on but I suspect it will go the way of every other upstart that has tried to challenge the evil empire.

The bitching about college players not getting paid might disappear.

Of course, they could be competing with college instead of NFL, especially if they take kids out of high school. Might push colleges to consider paying players. If push comes to shove the G5 might secede from the NCAA.

Side benefit - might make players realize how cush they have it in college.

The AAF kicks off the week after the super bowl on Saturday Feb 9th. The league championship will be the weekend before the NFL draft. This definitely helps fill the football void in the spring and shortens the off season. Now only May, June, & July will be the only months without football.

I already got my tickets for the Orlando Apollos first game. I’m more excited for this than the super bowl.

Also, the teams are regionally based, so all the LSU players are on the Memphis Express.
