I sure agree with ccgw and hope that the team is taking WV more seriously than we fans are. A pumped up home team can be giant killers.

In the end, I see LSU winning by around ten points in a fairly low scoring game

they can get as pumped as they want - being a Tiger fan for 50 years plus I can remember being pumped as The Bear and Bama came to town many times ! We are going to kill those guys - NOT

Big and Fast beats Fast everytime

    LSU - 31
    WV - 6

I agree about the SHOCK value of a shutout.

It would vault LSU to # 1 ...

    It's possible, but not likely!

I think we'd have to injure Geno early and get 3 or 4 picks to do it

I'm not worried about a loss, but I think we're in for a dogfight. 27-10 Tigers, including a window-dressing TD in the last 5:00.

Just looking at last year, WVU put up 14 points. LSU only put 20 points.

Fast forward to this year. I think this defense is better than last year's, and WVU has the same game and QB minus their star RB Levine. One of their TDs was a gimmie by JJ's interception. We hold them to 14 points or less again ... probably less.

Offensively, the WVU game last year was one of those 3 and out wonders. Only 12 first downs the whole game .. one of those stellar 10/22 for 75 yrd passing days by JJ with two interceptions, and basically, it took PP7 to save the game.

This year, our Offense has an identity, and our pass threat is improved. I can see this offense racking up some points this year. At least 3 TDs and a few FGs. If the D produces 1 or 2 good FPs with ints or fumble recoveries ... this could get really ugly.

    27 - 10, LSU.

WVU is just a very small speed bump on our way to the :crystal: :geaux:

If you are going to Morgantown, be cautious. WVU fans are scary - especially after dark and a loss. I know people from VT who will never go back there.

Any updates on the weather? I heard there was a possibility of rain on the radio

Was talking with a girl at the Les Miles show last night that has had to repack due to the chance of rain. 30-40% is the word we have been getting. But there was a good chance at Moo St., so you never know.

I'm calling about 17 ... Hopefully less ... Give Halgorsen some credit ... I'd like to see a shutout, but that won't happen ... I see this team throwing 80% or more during the game after getting the run stuffed

Question is ... How many plays will they get in the game?

We need to keep them 3 and out (50% of all of their drives) and just gut stomp them with the run game and kill 'em with play action when they stack the box to stop the run, same as MSU game & Oregon

My fantasy is an offensive awakening and a 50 - 0 blowout where they have negative rushing yardage again

... But I'll settle for 35+ points to 17 or less for WV

Hell, who knows, we might even play well enough to get Herbie to start gushing when he talks about LSU instead of talking **** about upsets
