Just a note as to why I pulled for Tennessee...

    tonight...

I hate Auburn, that I won't lie about...

But, I was pulling for Tennessee because the more wins our SEC Western Division Brethren suffer before we play them, the better.

I want to see each SEC West team lose as many games as possible, and then lose to US as well. It's better long run, because I do not fear the SEC East. The class of the conference is on the left side of the map...

The SEC West is going to be an absolute DOGFIGHT...and the more losses the East can pin on our main foes in the West, the better...

    Just my $0.02

All of that is true but the Auburn win will at least help LSU's strength of schedule rating.

Agree with all except with regards to Georgia. I hope Auburn and Florida beat UGA. I really don't want any part of UGA in the georgiadome.

Alas...the nattering nabobs of negativism are still nearby...

I don't care if they put the frickin Tennessee Titans in the Jawja Dome, we'll come out ther with Hermes' winged shoes, Pegasus the flying horse, and Medusa's decapitated, snake weaved wearing grille...Asking everyone to make sure they get the spelling of Perseus right...

LSU SHOULD win every game on its schedule. There is no team that we cannot DOMINATE. There is no team that we cannot establish, take control of, and dominate the LOS against. There is no team that we should not be able to completely demoralize using our talent. There is no coach left in our conference who could POSSIBLY outscheme us if our coaches are on their game...

I want the All SEC Eastern Division 1st team composite AP/UPI/Coaches selections to show up to get their collective anuses beat like they were red headed stepchildren of indentured servants...

LSU is going to ROLL, baby...I just want to get all the suspense of the SEC West race out of the way before everyone rolls into Baton Rouge to get handed their "Vivid Video Money Shot" and then roll the hell out to talk about how "close" it was...

SEN, I'm surprised at how scared you are!

Negatism, not! Tennessee fans thought, after their win in Gainesville, that they were unbeatable. Like it or not Georgia is a very, very good team. LSU beat them, yes, but they've seen us, they kow our strengths and weaknesses. Sure, we know theirs too, but they're going to be the ones with something to prove, a sour taste in their mouths. Just as you would rather play demoralized SEC West teams I'd rather play a demoralized SEC East team in the SEC Championship game.

If we play Georgia I still think we'd win, but I'd be worried. In previous seasons I picked LSU to win and it was almost a joke, a farce, I'd hope we might luck into a win. This year I know we can win, I just hope the other team doesn't luck into a win.

Its pretty clear that Georgia is the class of the SEC East. I'm not at all surprised that Auburn beat the Rocky Tops. I haven't been impressed at all with Tennessee after watching them struggle to beat Marshall and having to depend on luck to pull the game out against South Carolina. After seeing Florida having to come from way behind to beat Kentucky last week and then seeing them lose to Ole Miss today the Tennessee win over Florida loses a lot of signifigance. I don't care who beats who because LSU controls its own destiny. Keep on winning and we play in the Georgia Dome in December. Most likely scenario now is a rematch with the Dawgs. By then both teams will be a lot better than they were 2 weeks ago.

Last night Auburn looked like they did at the end of last year. Assuming Tenessee's defense is not THAT bad, the Faux Tigers appear to be a formidable opponent. That was not the team that played the 1st 4 games. I still say, however, stop the run and Campbell cannot beat you. Stopping the run, though, may not be that easy. For now...BEAT FLORIDA!!

Actually I think our team would have just as much to prove. Imagine how pissed you'd be if you'd just won a game and everyone was saying you didn't deserve, Georgia beat Georgia, not LSU. I believe that'll be UGA's attitude so they will be just as shocked when we really whip their asses the 2nd time.

I hope we play Georgia in the SEC championship, with emphasis on us being there! Actually I don't care who we play, just that we are in the game. That's why I will pull for the East team against the West all year. An East win will worsen the records of our fellow West division competitors & improve our chances. That being said, however, if we run the table, we will be in the game! Go Tigers!

Noooooo! We match up much better against Tennessee in the SECCG. Georgia has the measure of us. We can probably beat them again, but we should be able to spank Tennessee decisively.

And Yes! We are better off if SEC West opponents lose because it improves our chances to get to the SECCG.
