they say that anything over 50 inches the plasma still gives the beter pcture due to the LCD/led not being able to show a true black background. the LCD has better resolution though. the way a liquid cystal works it is hard to make the color black becase the diode always has to be biased or it "bleeds" a little color even when off. They have helped ths by using LED's and mirror effect to impose the black backgound. tht is why LCD's generally work best in lighted environmnts and Plasma ( over 50 " ) works best in dark lights. ( shows dark colors better )
