Yep, Ron Brooks was a backup last year, but has done very well this year. I could name a number of players that have went straight into the NFL and got into the mix from day one.
or, maybe Les should take more control of the offense. look at the effect Les had on Oklahoma State, a perennial bottom feeder before Les arrived. he takes over as OC, and boom, their offense is in the top half of the NCAA. then he leaves, and their offense goes to crap again. then Les comes back, and boom, their offense goes back to the top half of the NCAA again... Chad Lavalais played for Saban but his problem was work ethic, not readiness. Other than that, I don't recall ever hearing anything remotely close to LSU players having a general lack of readiness. Course I can't stand and don't watch the NFL so I may have missed it.
You know what would be great? If this shit hadn't been hashed out 63 dozen times within the past 3 months already.
This will be the tenth year in a row that a DL from LSU gets drafted by an NFL team. Don't know many colleges that can claim this. 14 DL in 9 years, another great stat. Maybe none of these guys are Pro ready.....
Miles has had his head scratcher moments, but we have been right in the mix with the exception of 08 and 09, all this with below average qb play, tons of suspensions and dismissals, injuries and even a few natural disasters. I'll take it, there are about 100 teams who would kill to have what LSU has experienced in Miles' tenure. Neeeeeeeext.
