1. word going around is that he passed Sunday, but the family asked that the news he withheld until all of the family could be there.
  2. Such sad news. 61 is way too young! Prayers to his family.
  3. So sad... Just goes to show you, you truly never know.
  4. So sorry to hear this news.
  5. Hospice is not just for cancer patients. That's a myth. Anyway, sad to see one of the most likeable and entertaining coaches pass away. I would always make a point to try and watch all of his post game conferences because you never knew what he was going to say. He was definitely one of a kind!

  6. The drinking lemonade with a fat girlfriend line was my recent favorite
  7. He was a true revolutionary. I think I will tear up when I see MSU take the field without him. So sad.
  8. That sounds about right. He reportedly didn't have medical attention for 10- 15 minutes after his cardiac episode. He was gone.

It hits close to home because that's how my dad died in March.

He was technically "alive," and my mom had the hospital staff keep him "alive" until I could get there to see him. He officially died when we had the ICU staff take him off of the ventilator two days later. My mom and I held his hands, and he went peacefully.

I hope that how it was for Coach Leach's family.

  9. My grandmother passed like that almost a year ago. Heart attack, and then the strokes put her on life support. I think they said Leach had seizures that shit down most of the function in his brain. It’s terrible how that happens
  10. My father always said , and I’ve since seen it several times, Hospice helps you die. All the pain meds, morphine you need to die pain free.

I saw this first hand with my grandfather, dad, mom and wife. Coincidentally, I was with each when they took their last breath. How lucky- or unlucky- is that?

Prayers to Coach Leach’s family and to Miss St.
