As long as we win, with a pass offense that doesn't turn over the ball, I'm fine with it. Think back to Lee's freshman year. Wins are better than pick sixes! Be glad for what we have. We're undefeated. And I expect we'll be tomorrow as well.
If Lee can just be a bit more mobile, thats all I am asking for, just a tad. McElroy was at least a little Mobile.
Where in the world did you get that my post was negative? We seem to be improving! Certainly over last year. After tonight we will probably be half way to last years TD total as well. I said 75 and I think if that happens and Lee takes care of the ball we win it all, but it may not even take that much. I wonder what the lowest ranked passing attack to win a crystal football is?
I vaguely remember seeing JL scramble once and I was pleasantly surprised. I agree that he needs to take it up a notch or two, just not to the point of running at the least bit of pressure. I'm optimistic that JL is going to have a good year. While he may not get high marks for style, I'm okay with that as long as he gets high marks for TDs and INTs. I'll take function over form any day. :geaux:
Look back at the history of LSU. Find it rather odd that for all the "glory" and foaming at the mouths over dual-threat QB's, guys under center but pile up 450+ yards rushing in a season, are fun to watch, but LSU has done better AS A TEAM when we have pocket QB's. Give me the Hodson's, Rohan's, Mauck's and Flynn's and their SEC titles and BCS titles each and EVERY day of the week. Keep your Marcus Randall's, Herb Tyler's and Jordan Jefferson's and their 200-400 rushing yards from the QB position. RP appeared to be the ONLY dual-threat QB that was poised to get results at LSU...and that was because he still looked to pass first and excelled at it and used his legs as a last resort--not after one read or when "panic mode" set in.
