Frankly, I never even heard of the NCAA Clearinghouse before this year, but I find it significant that everyone that had to wait them out was eventually cleared to play.
Yeah, it's been reported about a lot this year because several incoming players have been impacted about it. The Les Miles haters are trying to make it a bigger story than it is, by trying to insinuate that Miles is recruiting way too many kids that are not even eligible.
No doubt about those comments. He is a young man that we definitely want to see on the field contributing as soon as possible!
"the work" refers to academic work, I assume. In which case, he could have not played football his senior year & stayed in La to do that.
After reading, the information about the tuition was correct. His transcripts were not released until early August. However, KW did have to take the SAT again in June. That's what I was thinking of with him having more work to do over the summer. It was because of some silly rule though. His March scores were apparently too much of an improvement from his previous results. So it was mandated that he take it over in June. Coupling that with the transcripts issue, this young man should be very proud to finally have gotten past all of this and made it onto campus. How sweet it is that the campus is in Baton Rouge and not in that place better off not being mentioned!
very good news... And I have a reason to go to practice next week, just to see how he looks. I don't see anyway he redshirts if he is as good as advertised, and I expect you'll see him against ULL on basic run plays if the game gets ugly
