Shane, my comment about "the committee making a statement" by placing Alabama at 5 instead of 4. Well here you go listen to the conversation at the 5:20 mark of this video and listen to Marcus Spears say the exact same thing. Unfortunately he didn't get to expand on his answer as the conversation at that point got slightly derailed. Even Desmond starts off by saying "if Alabama is #4 that's devastating for the rest of college football". As I said the rankings tonight laid the groundwork for the remainder of the season. Now Oregon just needs to take care of business.
