They described him as having "outside runner's speed with an inside runner's body". Sounds good to me!
I don't know that he ever did.... I believe it was known that he wasn't going to be a qualifier last season (but perhaps I'm wrong).
That is kind of what I was thinking. Can you imagine if you are a corner and a guy that is 220 lbs is running at you with 4.4 speed. Ouch!
Re: KW about to announce. from scouts, inc. they have him as the 130th best player in the nation: Scouts Grade: 7.1 Position Rank: RB #19 Considering: 1-Louisiana State -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evaluation: Williams is a big, physical running back who has an excellent combination of size and speed. He has the power and leg strength of a fullback and the speed and quickness of an outside runner. He is a good inside zone runner who has good balance and vision, he can break tackles, and he will get you the tough yards. He has enough speed to get to the corner, make the good cut and avoid tacklers with good moves. However, Williams is a high runner. He does not run with good body tilt and he exposes his body to unnecessary hits which could be a durability problem at the Div. I level. Although he has 4.4 speed, you do not see a second gear or burst. Overall, Williams has excellent measurables. He is a player who has the ability to be a contributor his freshman year at the Div. I level.
Were we recruiting the Shaw kid that decided to go to TN? I heard the guy from Rivals say we weren't, but the people up here (TN) are saying it was between the Tigers and TN. I listened to the Williams press conference on Rivals Radio and when Shaw committed he said, something about taking TN over us. Anyway, kudos for getting Keiland!!
