Who you got? I like firing line at 12-1, not sure if he can last for this long of a run but he drew a good post at 10. He has shown he can hang with the chalk. Thats my pick.
i like bob baffert's hoss, american pharoah. victor espinoza won last year aboard california chrome, and if espinoza can get him out quick he'll win. this will be one of the best fields in years. should be good.
Amazing looking horse but I don't think he can do it from post 18; now his other horse Dortmund is setting pretty at 8.
Both of Bafferts horses are amazing animals, flat out studs but coming from the outside or on the rail in a field this big doesn't bode well usually. The horse can run (AP) I just don't think he will be able to make up enough ground. Dortmund is a beast and will run up front and like I said, if Firing Line can get some clean air he will push him and take him if he has the gas. I'm leery of that and that alone but at 12-1 the number is right, he is my pick.
I don't know anything about horse racing either so I never know who to pull for unless there is a Louisiana jockey or some other connection. Then I always pull for the horse that wins the Derby to win the Preakness and the Belmont.
thats how you do it. pick the la guys. in the oaks yesterday the winner was a 56 yr old La jockey and also the one that showed from here. calvin goes off today at about 30:1 I think. mine that bird won at 50:1
