The two young tight ends, Dickson and Cole, are going to be stars before they leave here, both played well.

Perrilloux looked good, two of his incompletions were drops by the receivers. Flynn also looked good and showed his scrambling skill again.

Tyson Jackson had the best night on the defensive line.

Davis looked very good as a punt returner, but I hate putting a starting receiver in a position to possibly get hurt. I feel better with a return specialist back there.

Holliday may get that chance. He's too small to run the ball on offense except on reverses. Speaking of reverses, on Hollidays long run, Russell went way downfield to block, but Holliday passed him before he could block his man. He needs to learn how to follow his blockers and save the speed for the breakaway. Russell is the size of a tight end and could lay the wood on a small DB. But we don't need him hurt either.

All of the running backs did well. Scott had a fine night and Williams showed real promise. Hester scored two TD's and has a nose for the endzone. Even Vincent averaged 5 yards a carry. Broussard did not play.

Doucet lined up at shotgun quarterback, took the snap and ran it into the endzone.

Cole is a junior, and actually only sees PT during the creampuffs. I don't believe he will do much at LSU. However, I think Dickson is an extremely solid player to be seeing this much PT as a true freshman, and I agree with your assessment on him.

Miles has several TE commits already for next year, and I don't think Cole will see much more playing time after this year.

You reminded me of how I used to love to watch Clayton's take a defender out of the play when he'd hammer someone down field.

Well put...I remember a point in time not long ago when Kentucky beat LSU. Does the name Tim Couch ring a bell? We could have definitley rolled over to an overmatched cellar dweller team, like a certain SEC East team this weekend. Instead, we took care of business. Let's just take care of business this weekend with a scrappy Fresno team and get ready for another SEC showdown with old smoky.:geauxtige

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. We didn't beat Florida because we played poorly. We can make a case for the Auburn game, but not the Florida game.
