Oh ok. Someone might want to remind them that they're basically the same Kentucky team we beat 49-0 last year.
as someone who has endured living in the Bluegrass for the last 15 yrs. rest assured when i tell you.....kentucky has as much chance winning the east as the gumps do winning the west. LSU!
Uhhh, NO I wouldn't! What's the #1 problem with college football? There's no playoff system so we allow a handful of people determine who the best team and best player are. I could care less about either of these trophies but thanks for trying to tell me how I think. There is no such thing as a Heisman jinx. If they would actually choose the best player instead of the most hyped player, we may actually see a few more winners have a successful career in the NFL. ...and of course we should honor the AP's decision. The media is never biased!
Summation: Two very offense oriented teams squared off for a point-fest hoping the musical chair is theirs when the tune stopped. Neither has a defense to speak of "in our relative terms". Brooks is a decent coach but he just hasn't gotten the whole equation balanced yet. Props to them for bringing some cred to the SEC offense and even better if he or D-mac wins the Heisman. I do not see either as mutually exclusive to an undefeated LSU. Unless he ends the night against LSU with 10 picks and -500 yards. Later, Fur
In review: Someone like Matt Flynn wins the Heisman Trophy. Robidoux87: "That's awesome! I'm really happy for him and that's great for the football program." Purple Tiger: "Who cares?" LSU does not participate in the BCS National Championship, but the Associated Press votes them #1. Robidoux87: "National Champs, baby!" (Pours beer on head). Purple Tiger: "So what? Let us celebrate the accomplishments of the BCS winner." (Takes nap).
