Why all this crap about it being a "lucky" play? Luck is part of the game, just like bad calls. Was it luck that the 2 Kentucky backs tipped the ball up instead of slapping it down like they were trained to do? Maybe ... or was it overconfidence on their part. There never was a Hail Mary that wasn't a lucky catch and never will be. The bottom line is this . . . Hail Mary's that actually work and win a game with no time on the clock are rare as hen's teeth. This play was a big deal and everybody knows it. The Cats are just upset because they know that they will see it replayed over and over every year from now on. I guess I don't blame them.
I read through the entire kentucky post, and maybe 5% of the people don't think it should have won because it was a lucky play and LSU didn't deserve it. Did you guys ever see the simpsons where Everyone in town loved the Mel Gibson "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" except for Homer, so Mel got all upset and changed the whole movie because of one guy? That is what I'm seeing in this post. kentucky still crying over the Bluegrass miracle says we didnt deserve the ESPY No they aren't, a few people are, not that many.
Hello All, This is my first post! I thought the ESPY was a priceless ad for LSU football. I thought some of you might enjoy the LSU cow that showed up in the Kentucky paper the next day. http://www.kentucky.com/images/kentucky/kentucky/4488/20145423728.jpg The cow guy rocks
Did anyone see what happened to the cow guy after the game ended? Some UK fan nailed him when he was running around the field...lol, it was hilarious
Thanks Big Bengal only a few more weeks! I hope the cow guy wasn't hurt badly. He had guts to dress up in that get up.
No, he was fine. The UK fan was a student who was just mad. It was all over the UK news the next day.
My personal favorite is the fat frat boy in the endzone. You know the before and after shots they have of the catch?
Yes the Tie Guy! Do you mean the guy in the suit with the blue Tie whose Jaw dropped? Richard Condon a local TV guy I believe said "That guy looked like he found out their was no Santa". They zoomed in and replayed the Tie guy for 15 minites watching his jaw drop on one of the local sports shows here. They showed a glimpse of the tie guy on the Espys. Several LSU fans dressed up like the "Tie Guy" for the Bama game and carried signs that said Kentucky fan and kept smiling and and then frowning in mock reenactment. There used to be video of the Tie floating around after the Kentucky game
