1. He's targeting a qb to fit the offense. I think the spread comment was all Kiffy; I think Eaux will let the OC run that.
  2. It sounds like Brennan would fit Canada. Interesting to watch LSU's hire vs Bama's hire.

  3. At Oregon, Kelly ran the offense, didn't hear much from OC Helfrich, he seemed more like Chip's assistant.

When Kelly left, all of our offensive innovation went with him. Chip pushed our AD into hiring Helfrich, Scott Frost moved up from Receivers to OC, and called the plays. When Frost left, the new OC made the calls,.. Helfrich never called the plays for our Offense.

The Ducks were rich with juniors and seniors, and we had Mariota,.. that carried us. Helfrich tried to coach like Chip, but really had nothing of his own to offer,.. and Helf wasn't a good recruiter,.. I think you can do better.

  4. Hope we do. Thanks.
  5. If Canada gets the gig, I think Brennan will reaffirm his pledge to LSU very soon afterwards.

His HS coach was quoted as saying he likes Canada a lot and would be a good OC to showcase Brennan's talents. Canada runs multiple Offenses and needs a QB that can think fast and process information quickly. That's Brennan.

Orgeron, Canada, Aranda, Etling and Brennan would be a good team at LSU and about the best we can hope for now at this point!

I can be on-board for this.....................

  6. A former qb was on the radio saying Canada is truly adaptable to personnel and runs a system that is pretty easy for college kids to catch on to, while being complicated enough to keep defenses guessing. As he put it, no analysis by paralysis. Sounds similar to Aranda.
  7. Heard it. The QB plays for the Ottawa Redblacks now

  8. The good ol redblacks. NHL = Ottawa sabers?
  9. After what GDF said I sure hope it's not Helfrich.
  10. Actually it is paralysis by analysis, but I got your meaning.

And I agree. Used to go nuts watching the offense stand around, getting some play in from the sideline, and then running the play when it was obvious half of them were clueless.
