I just can't figure out how Millen hasn't gotten canned. It's like trying to think about infinity or the origin of black holes. If Millen does get the ax, their next QB will be like the second coming of Joe Frazier for Detroit if he makes them respectable. However, that's such a huge if, I think I'll go back to pondering black holes.
Heard a rumor that the fans were trying to organize a "walk out" for their last home game in protest of Millen. Don't know if they play home this week, or if that plan ever had any success last week if they tried it (but I'm assuming it didn't happen), but WOW, that would have been a strong statement! Hell, even TALKING about doing that, you would THINK, would be enough for the Lions' owner to make a move and dump Millen. Man! I just don't understand Detroit's ownership. I mean, I know the Saints don't exactly have the best in terms of a "winning history/tradition", but AT LEAST even New Orleans has a couple of 11-win seasons to go along with a 12-win campaign the past 20 years. Detroit hasn't come CLOSE to duplicating ANY success. I can't even think of any other organization in professional football worse than Detroit (ugh--ok, I just thought of one--Arizona). But, ok, outside of Arizona and Detroit, there isn't another franchise that has been as inept at winning as those two.
Yes he would, but with Colston and Devery there already I seriously doubt that will happen. Saints need alot help on th defensive side of the ball!
He'd look even better lined up next to Colston, considering Horn has another year in the league, tops. Colston and Bowe would give the Saints 2 huge, long-stride targets with great hands. Too bad he won't be around when the Saints might consider addressing WR, probably not before the 3rd round. Ditto Buster Davis, who would also be a great addition to the Saints O.
Then again, JR might look at those two teams and say,"you know what? If I stay one more year at LSU, we're probably the pre-season number one. One more year in BR has got to be better than going to Oakland or Detroit."
