Yup, he did. And I liked Corso in much the way you like that crazy uncle who gets drunk and says outlandish things to piss off the rest of the family. That is until this year when he was on a local sports radio station -- 1310 The Ticket -- known for its irreverence. Corso was going on about how he made fun of Reynolds posing nude for Cosmo or Playgirl or somesuch and was just yucking it up. That is until one of the hosts quipped about Corso posing nude. The he immediately turned indignant. Corso basically said he was insulted and ended the interview. The host who made the comment was apologetic and said something like, "hey, I thought we were all just having fun here." To no avail. It made me realize all that fun-loving persona is b.s. and that Corso takes himself way too serious for a no-talent coach whose biggest asset is being the Curley of the Gameday three stooges.
lol dude... I cant believe we're arguing that a big east team is gonna go to the nat'l championship game... they go undefeated and a one loss big 12, big ten, acc, or sec team will go with one loss.
The Big Least has the East Coast Media to proclaim their possibly undefeated champ as worthy to compete for the Crystal Ball. If Louavull goes undefeated (and they will be favored every week against that ridiculous schedule) then look out for the hype machine and the idiocy that it can spout. I wish the NCAA (or whoever is actually running college FB these days) would strip the Big Least of its BCS viability. Louisville is a pretty good team, but outside of the Cards I think that CUSA is a better league.
Someone tell me why do we deserve a top 5 ranking? I've heard a couple people around complaining.... but why?... We have not proven anything... We, essentially, don't have a starting QB. We have a coach who has not shown anything on the field in the SEC. We lost key players on the defensive side. We do not know who the leaders will be, or if anyone will step up. All of that, and we are 6... Impressive to me....
Come on now, why is it that EVERY team other than LSU gets "all the media love". If it's a team on the west coast then they get the west media attention and the east gets the east media and if it's South (UGA) it's cause they live near Atlanta. Get over that. If a team plays well, they will get media attention no matter where they're located.
Well I for one did not feel the love in 2003. Even when we beat Ole Miss we did not get any credit. All on of the infidels could say about Ole Miss was once the runt of the SEC always the runt of the SEC. That's almost as disrepectful to LSU winning the West before b8888 slapping the dawgs in thier own back yard as Mike Tyson saying about his last opponent that if he could not be this guy he just as soon retire. I agree with you on the points you brought up. But we also have talent so deep at the skill positions it's sick. I am not a currnt Les Miles flag waiver but he did coach at the Major College and Pro level. September can't get here fast enough.
Well, I don't know about "all" calling them runts. I recall one person (Trev) saying that, but that's it. To me, all that really matters is that we are now getting plenty of attention and praise. 2003 is in the past and our program has now proven themselves on the field and it's paid off in the form of recruiting, rankings, and national attention. I'm happy with our situation. I do agree with you on one thing, the season can't start fast enough. :geauxtige
