And pro lifers scare the crap out of abortion doctors. Blank Panthers make me run and hide.

Ole Miss has a lot of old southern traditions, many going back to the confederacy. This has been, unfortunately, equated with racism so the traditions are going by the wayside. The KKK, albeit racist as all get out, is nothing more than an advocacy group for old deep south traditions. They are not going to rape, pillage and plunder. They are going to march peacefully and anonymously, hidden by their bedsheets. They are all talk.

If thats your view of the Klan, im pretty much done with the discussion at this point.
The Klan is nothing short of a terrorist group, just like the Black Panthers, Neo-Nazis, and other hate organizations.

ok, this isn't going to be easy without sounding like a Klan supporter.

Historically, yes they were a violent and deadly group.
Now they are much more of an "all talk, look at me" organization.

Even the ACLU has defended them on more than one occasion, which I don't think would have happened if they were still lynching minorities.

Today, they aren't much different than the vocal anti-abortion type groups, they just stand for a completely different cause.

My point is that they are no longer the threat they once were. Their leaders are mostly old toothless hillbillies who wielded power through intimidation 60 years ago. They get a few young skinheads to shout epithets and tattoo their faces but they have been neutered by awareness and no nonsense law enforcement. I'm not defending the Klan. I'm saying they are no more dangerous now than Sitting Bull and Cochise are.

Same can be said with the Black Panthers, but I still dont trust them or looking to give them a pass. Tiger dont change their stripes.

I was listening to talk radio the other day when the city of McComb, Ms. was mentioned. It caught my attention. I only caught the last part of the discussion though. Announcer stated that, in McComb schools, a civics class is being taught (mandantory) and that in this class black panthers are invited speakers. From the little I heard, the panthers would address the class and speak of "all that was owed" because of the past actions of society, etc. When a teacher spoke up, she was told that she was a white woman and to just sit down and shutup. I changed channels. Too close too home and I don't want to get the old blood pressure up.

Props to them for at least being forthright enough to show their faces- if they do. It's the racists who hide behind closed doors that do the most harm to minorities. At least that's my tiny opinion.

Whatever one's position may be about what their agenda is, at least they're man enough to stand up and say-so. Course, that would mean they can't wear hoodies.

My only issue with these "Groups" is that, generally speaking, it's overlooked when pro-minority groups assemble/fight for what they feel are injustices done onto them but let one honky utter a pro-white phrase and the media pounces on them.
