Re: Korte anyone? Shawn Jordan is back on the team. This happened after last season. He served his punishment and is back in good graces.
Re: Korte anyone? When you are a freshman or sophmore, any game experience is good experience, Hester played in quite a few games last year when the game was not put away, especially in the Peach Bowl. Playing against Miami is good experience no matter what part of the game it is.
Re: Korte anyone? Right now the difference in expereince between Korte and Hester is quite a lot, I don't know why the attempt at minimizing it. From blocking, route running, special teams play and running with the ball Hester is way ahead. And I don't see Korte getting more work than him in the first two games to even it out. That said, I do believe the Tiger coaches will try to find ways to get Steve into the game and become a productive player.
Could Steven Korte be the answer at HB? From dandy don... If he is that big and running with that kind of speed, I'd really love to see what he can do with the ball in his hands... either that, or move him to LB... but 6'3", 240, 4.4... do we have a Mike Alstott on our hands?
Re: Korte anyone? Korte is also lacking practice expierence that puts Hester way ahead. During Spring I believe Hester was first team HB.
Re: Could Steven Korte be the answer at HB? I think he is not the answer at HB but rather the answer at FB. Yes he may have staight line speed but he is not elusive at all. He would make a better fullback used on short yardage downs and he can also catch the ball out of the back. Imagine having him and any one of our running backs back there, its a 1 2 punch.
Re: Could Steven Korte be the answer at HB? I heard next year he is going to be on the field somewhere. Damn, I guess we have to stick with Alley's short yardage attempts.:dis: I love that game when Alley ran all over Bama with 5 Tds. He just carried the bama players on his back.
