    I don't know if any of you had heard anything about this or not... it's news to me, but apparently former Tigers pitcher Kurt Ainsworth took a break from the SF Giants organization to uphold a promise he made to his parents about graduating from college...

    I was really excited about the title of this thread because I thought Ainsworth might have returned to be our pitching coach? ;)

    ...but I'm still glad he returned for his degree! :thumb:

    Glad to see this. This is a nice young man with good parents. Spoke with him and his parents when he pitched here while in AA. Very polite young man and good with the fans. His folks were really friendly too.
