Very lopsided this week with only 3 competitive games.

5A: West Monroe beat Catholic 52-6 and will face Rummel who beat Westgate 7-6.

4A: Neville beat Lutcher 42-0 and will play Franklinton who demolished Salmen 60-0

3A: Notre Dame defeated Catholic N.I. 43-0 and will play Parkview who beat E.D. White 42-0

2A: Evangel beat Capitol 21-20 in OT and will face John Curtis who beat St. Charles 27-0 (Conflicting scores)

1A: South Plaquemines defeated Oak Grove 20-13 and will play Haynesville who beat St. John 26-0

My predicted Champions are West Monroe, Franklinton, Notre Dame, John Curtis, and South Plaquemines

The 3A game is a toss up...

I'm going with Neville in the 4A game.

Their only loss was Week 2 @ West Monroe, 30-27.

Neville has strong wins over Marshall, TX (17-8), Ruston (17-0), Bastrop (41-14) and last night's 42-0 win over highly regarded Lutcher.

In Mississippi South Panola won the 6A State Championship last night 56-14 in the snow.

Shocker. South Panola wins a state championship.

the State 4a championships are being played today. Dylan Favre and his Rockachaws are facing off against Lafayette County.

Dylan Favre is about to add a state championship to all of the other accolades and records that he owns.

    This kid is a winner.

West Monroe is a shocker. I saw them get beat by a little 1A school in Alabama a few weeks ago and they didnt look good. That 1A school didnt even make the state championship game and there is probably 30 teams in Alabama better. The entire schools senior class was smaller than West Monroe's roster. Doesn't sound like a good year for high school ball in La.

I believe you must have seen a different team. West Monroe is undefeated on the season with a 14-0 record going into the Class 5-A State Championship Game...

Yeah West Monroe should handle Rummel....Rummel's been hanging on barely throughout the playoffs.

That was Bastrop. They had a rough year this year.

I think Bastrop entered this year's playoff as a 16 or 17 seed in 4A.

    Evangel beat John Curtis 18-13

    Notre Dame beat Parkview 14-7

    Haynesville beat South Plaquemines 19-12

My picks are not looking too good.

DJ Welker looked pretty damned good for ND. I was 'meh' on him before the game started. How I'm pretty happy. He looked like a more instinctive version of Luke Sanders.

Neville is playing Franklinton right now. Franklenton has averaged 50 points a game this year and right now they have a big, fat goose-egg versus Neville. I predict that North LA is going home happy this weekend.
