Not really, the Lady Tigers have fared well against the Vols lately. But you can't let them get 4-5 shots every trip down the floor and win. Tennessee won this game on the boards.
Sometimes it's best to avoid an OT period. Momentum doesn't always carry. Then again, ask Boise St about OT periods.
They have a lot of teams' #'s. Our ladies put themselves in a position to win it but came up a little short. LOL. Relatively speaking, this is one of her better teams than the last couple of years. Candace Parker is a dominant force. LSU will go deep in the tourney but I think Tenessee will challenge those tough ACC teams for the title this year.
This LSU team is talented and very well coached, they just lack a goto person down the stretch. Fowles can only do so much. They are still a dangerous team come playoff time. They have been in every single game going into the last minute of play. Duke women just look unbeatable at this point, however. Looks like a battle for 2nd place to see who loses to the Blue Devils in the end.
I was thinking along those lines.......should we see Tenn. again in the Tourn. the odds swing more in our favor- maybe not IN our favor but MORE towards our favor. :wink: Beating a team twice is hard, had we won tonight it would have been that much more improbable in the Tourn. We showed tonight we can play with them. :thumb:
Lad Tigers/Lady Vols So the men even lost to the women Vols team? This is a sad time. Seriously, though... tough loss. I hate the Vols. That, and I strongly dislike one Pat Summit. They played tough, but have to find more ways to score. One person can't carry the team.
I don't know about car, but I dislike her, because whether she is up 100, or down 100, she is always a total tool, being really pissed off about something, but that expresses a strong desire to be perfect, which I like and respect. I just hate the facetime she gets. For instance, ESPN showed a graphic today that said: Tennessee goign for 8th straight SEC title... WRONGGGGGGGG... LSU won it a few years back.
