This is pretty damn annoying. Your name doesn’t entitle you to shit. Every walk-on has more heart. Unless he can transfer immediately; at least that would make some sense.
I would be in this boat, except that I never thought he showed me anything on the field. The good plays that he showed seemed to be plays where he was put in a great position. Give me more of the freshmen.
Emory and TDP are simply much better than Lanard. No offense Lanard but there is only one spot open in the backfield as an RB and we gotta play the best man.
Emery and Tyrion were signed because of their high school accomplishments projected to posible greatness at the next level. Emery was rated as the 2nd best RB in the whole USA. Lanard was signed because his brother was a recruit we couldn't afford to lose. I had hoped Lanard might develop into a serviceable RB in the style of Darrell Williams but he just doesn't have the talent. Maybe he is just tired of living in his brother's shadow. He has his degree now and maybe he just wants to get on with his life after football. Whatever I wish him the best.
Wonder whatever happened to him playing in slot a while back. Not sure if he had speed, hands, or route issues. Or we just simply had a better option from the real receivers.
I think he's just walking away. From what I read, he graduated already, was getting less playing time and just decided to move on with his life. I don't think the plan is to pursue football any further, as a transfer, or NFL or anything like that.
