Truth is I think he was a bit under rated. He blocked well, has great hands and can get separation in space. With a bit more size, he would be a great FB. Tough for him to swallow, but with a loaded backfield, he was gonna have a limited role regardless. I agree with Ramah in that he shoulda stayed to enjoy his piece of the pie and maybe get a ring to go with his diploma. Instead, he will always be remembered as the little brother that went home. Turns out, I liked him more than he liked himself. Best to him tho, he was a Tiger.
I think the number of posts about this might show why he quit....it was the only way he could get any attention.
Now this I agree with. He is a fool for not finishing the season which could be a very special season. Glad we had him he did contribute and had to be tough for the kid having to try to live up to his name. I wish him the best.
Clearly he quit because he was done and realized that he won’t be playing football professionally. Avoiding additional brain damage not a bad idea. He would have stayed if he was involved. If he was getting paid im sure he would have stuck it out but whats the point of putting yourself out there to get busted up in practice or mopping up. We should offer coopers son a scholarship and get the next nawlins sensation in purp and gold!
