Great feedback LSUBud. Makes a lot more sense now. I bet they cram a LOT of extra students into their "student section this way too.
My brother's wife is a Penn State grad and she dosen't know either but she knows nothing at all about sports. I gave her some LSU SECCG T shirts for Christmas and I have yet to see her wearing a single one of them.

i went there the last time LSU played (2001). it is because they are sitting people on top of each other..you have no room to really sit comfortably. I was so mad that in the fourth qtr I got up and watched the game at the concession stand.
It should be noted that neither the Rose Bowl or the Coliseum are actual college football stadiums, not to mention that USC actually has huge jerseys that take up around 20,000 seats.
I found this while searching around. Pretty interesting. I don't know how old this is, though. This just shows that there are distinct differences between the SEC and the PAC 10, win or lose. This article the percentages of attendance. http://www.collegefootballnews.com/Columnists/Attendance.htm
Top 6 On-Campus Stadium Capacities 1. Michigan Michigan 107,501 2. Penn State Beaver 106,537 3. Tennessee Neyland 104,079 4. Ohio State Ohio 101,568 5. Georgia Sanford 92,058 6. LSU Tiger 91,600 Article Actually, our attendance record is more than UGA's max attendance at 92,251. I don't know how we can put more people in the stands than it says we can ; maybe it includes box seats???? Like DD said, the others are not university facilities. This list is of the largest on-campus stadiums.
Thanks for posting this list, because in all honesty . . . this is the only list that matters in college football. I can't begin to tell you guys the difference between an on campus stadium and one that is off campus. Let's just say it is a completely different experience. Nothing like walking to Tiger Stadium from your dorm or apt with a group of friends.
