per CNN....he is a soph, but I guess he will be given an exception to the rule. wonder what Clarett thinks about that.... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/football/ncaa/01/18/bc.fbn.nfldraft.fitzger.ap/?cnn=yes
actually the rule says you have to be out of high school for 3 years, which for most cases would mean your junior year, but i believe after high school Larry when into a milliary school so hes been out for at least 3 years
Yep, thats exactly what happened. They gave him credit for time and classes he took at a military school...
It can't help... If his choice causes Michael Clayton to drop more than just a few spots in the draft, Fitzgerald probably just cost Clayton a ton of money.
You dont understand the story about Larry. I live in Pittsburgh and I have talked to him. My dad is a surgeon and he helped his family out a couple years ago. Larry's family needs the money. They couldn't pay for him to go to college. That's why he got a free ride. Larry is very good and it doesn't matter where hes from. He went to school after he got out of high school. They let him in. You don't know the true Larry, like i do.
Doesn't sound like anything negative was said about Fitzgerald in this thread. His story has been well documented this year and I think most college football fans have the utmost respect for him as a person and player.
